South Of France

Solstice 2024

SOLD OUT

17th - 22nd June 2024

I am thrilled to announce this incredible summer solstice retreat 50 km south east of Carcassonne, in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. The venue isn’t usually offered out to outside retreats so we are extremely lucky to be hosted here by this family run estate.

The area is known for its Cathar history and its wild, unspoilt nature. Nestled in a medieval village, surrounded by culture and endless beauty.

Come with me to this incredible Bohemian venue, which was voted as one of the best retreat venues in the world, greeting the sun from our top floor shala every morning overlooking the medieval rooftops of the local village, workshops in the stunning orangery, and while away the days reading in a hammock the bountiful garden or explore the wilderness in the French summer sun.

The Venue

“This house has the feel of a secret temple... It’s both majestic and louche, part grand house, part boho shack, accessorised via Marrakech, Ethiopia and Liberty of London”

— CONDE NAST TRAVELLER

“The house has the feel of a vast, ancient temple. The bedrooms have a certain monastic simplicity - uncluttered and candle list - but the suites are huge and look as if they have been styled by Elle Decoration”

— DAILY MAIL

“There are places that embody the word ‘soul’; places out of time; half-seen, half–imagined worlds. Think Tom’s Midnight Garden, The Little Princess, The Chronicles of Narnia, places where the veil between the material and the ineffable is gossamer-thin: one snag in the fabric and you’re in another realm.”
— SPA KITCHEN REVIEW

The owners of the venue have been hosting their own retreats to their community in France since 2013. Every detail is considered, its a collection of love, and history, and a joyous eclectic life. This is completely translated into every detail of the house, the plates, the food, to the finest detail. It has taken me forever to find a retreat venue in Europe that I felt immediately sure about, and finally it happened with this space. Each venue takes me months to find, endlessly contacting venues, learning about the area, the space, the feel. And I am overjoyed to welcome this venue to the mineral yoga collection.

Each room is individual, with their own subtle quirks. There are 5 shared bathrooms between 8 rooms which will be allocated based on location and occupancy of each room.

I think the venue reviews above speak for themselves, and if you’re a visual person then say no more, and get lost in the pictures of French whimsical dreamland below.

THE RETREAT

Held over 5 nights (with the opportunity to explore Toulouse or Carcassonne either side of the retreat). I am so happy to offer this new venue for our ongoing solstice retreats, honouring the longest day of summer, with the Summer Solstice right in the centre of our time together. We will be working through variations of asana including mandala and varying vinyasa styles depending on the theme for the day. Followed by ground yin evenings as the long summer nights draw to a close. This retreat is all about, rejuvenation and exploration, letting go and letting new light in. Honouring summers presence of renewal, growth, creativity and fire. Perhaps delving into ourselves a little more than we usually do in our daily practice. Each practice and workshops will be expertly tailored and space will be held professionally for you to dive deep, and feel at home to safely explore physically and emotionally. Everyones reason for joining the retreat will be different, and somehow the most incredible community always come together to support each other, grow and have an amazing love filled and joyful experience. I am overjoyed to share this experience in this incredible venue with you.

HOW TO SECURE / T’S&C’S

To enquire and make your booking click the button above or head to the contact page in the navigation, which will direct you to a form to contact me. We will go from there via email.

To secure your space you will need to place a £350 deposit. This will be deducted from the total cost of the retreat. The rest of the retreat balance will be due 8 weeks before the retreat start date in mid April. If you would prefer to pay in instalments to split the cost we can also work that out.

Please be aware that I have some terms with this retreats, based on many previous experiences these boundaries are fundamental. The deposit is non refundable. If under any circumstances I need to cancel the retreat I will refund what you have paid or move you to another retreat (whichever you feel more comfortable with).

I cannot under any circumstances be responsible for participants deciding to not to join, and the full amount (not including the deposit) is non refundable from 8 weeks before the retreat. This will be non negotiable since everything will have been secured and paid for. Please ensure you have sufficient insurance to cover any issues that you can potentially see arising pre retreat should you need to cancel.

On retreat this is a community experience. If you chose to join please be fully prepared to take part in everything unless we have discussed previously. This is primarly because the energy of the group is so important and such a huge part of everyones experience. There will be plenty of free time to do your own thing/explore, but shala time is shala time, and you will grow and benefit so much from being fully immersed in it.

flights & transfers are NOT included.

*When booking the retreat and the deposit has been paid you are agreeing to all of the above.
